Grade 8 / 9 Art Assignment with Hyperstudio

Artists Life and Works

Please use the Internet and or books to find information regarding the artist that you would like to reasearch. You need to go to the Butterworth home page and click on Student Links and then Options to connect you to some sites that can help you with your project. You need to use Hyperstudio to do your assignment. You will find it under the Apple Menu. You will need a total of 9 cards.
1. Title page-card
2. Index card
3. Card discussing his/her life history. (Birth, growing up, marriage, life style, death)
4. Card- discussing what type of art he/she created with a picture. (Paintings, sculptures)
Discuss use of colours, composition, subjects that he/she used for painting. How do they describe his/her work.
5. Card- discussing style of art ( impressionist, cubist, realist) You need to explain the style of art.
6 - 8. Cards 6,7 and 8 need to have pictures of some of his/her art work. What are the titles of the art work. Dates they were finished.
9. Credit card. Your name, date, class, grade.
